PARANORMAL RESEARCH AND INVESTIGATIONS

                                PAREIDOLIA

Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and random stimulus (often an image or sound) being perceived as significant. Common examples include seeing images of animals or faces in clouds, the man in the moon, and hearing hidden messages on records played in reverse. The word comes from Greek.

Pareidolia in the paranormal is the most misunderstood part of paranormal research, from investigations to the public.

Have you ever looked up at the clouds and seen a face, an animal or something familiar in your life?

Or looked at a photo and swear you see a face in a mirror or in an object in the background?

Or gone on an investigation and get pics of Orbs or reflections that you swear are real.

Well they are most likely Pareidolia, your brain trying to recognise the most familiar thing which is usually a face or an animal, a lot of Investigators still believe in faces in Orbs, Trees, Smoke and even Water, not to say that all things are Pareidolia but it should make one think before saying “this is definitely Paranormal”

 Some examples:

Big foot on Mars or just Rock?

 Face on Mars or not?

World Trade center Demon or Smoke?
